Chronicle Launches Social Network
Community is the watchword at the Jewish Chronicle as its online arm launches a social network.
Registered users can now upload their profiles, make friends with fellow members and join interest groups on The JC.com.
In addition, members can write blogs as well as upload their own photographs and video content.
Managing editor Richard Burton told Brand Republic about the strategy behind this latest digital initiative.
“A lot of the bigger papers are finding it hard to identity communities within their readership.
“What struck me was that we had a ready-made community and the opportunity to harness that.”
