Guardian Scoops Digital Awards

The Guardian has won both online prizes handed out by the British Press Awards 2009.

At last night’s ceremony, Guardian.co.uk was named Website of the Year and Dave Hill received the Digital Journalist of the Year title.

Hill is the author of the London Blog on Guardian.co.uk and also writes blog posts on the site’s Comment is Free section.

A full list of all the winners is available on Press Gazette, and here are the shortlists for the digital awards.

If you want to experience the excitement of the event for yourself, Press Gazette’s The Wire and The Guardian’s Organ Grinder published live blogs last night.
